Corona Germany: 3G certificate as from 24 November

The “3G rule” (tested, vaccinated or cured) will be applied in Germany from 24 November.

At the moment, there is no final legal certainty on the situation of the drivers, but according to our German sister organisation, truck drivers are bound by the “3G restrictions” as soon as they leave their vehicles. To comply with the “3G restrictions” there must be either proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or proof of negative test.

Proof of vaccination:

The Covidsafe app or a vaccination card showing that one has been vaccinated with a vaccine that meets the following requirements (only valid after at least 14 days):

Proof of recovery:

EU digital COVID certificate of recovery or other evidence of recovery showing that a previous infection with COVID-19 has been confirmed by nuclear acid amplification technology, at least 28 days but not older than 6 months.

Proof of negative test:

PCR test not older than 48 hours, or lateral flow (rapid) test not older than 24 hours. Self-tests (= rapid tests performed by the tested person without supervision) are not accepted.
