New 6,200 m² Seveso upper-tier site ready for commissioning and fully compliant
(29 September 2025)
On June 19, Hamann International Logistics announced that its new 6,200 m² Seveso upper-tier site in Wetteren would soon become operational. Today, we can confirm that the warehouse is fully ready for commissioning. The site has been equipped and validated in line with all applicable quality, environmental, and safety standards, representing a major expansion of our capacity for storing and handling hazardous materials.
This new facility integrates seamlessly with our existing 24,800 m² crossdock warehouse, bringing our total logistics zone in Wetteren to 31,000 m². With this expansion, we are even better positioned to support our customers with their complex and specialized logistics challenges.
Fully equipped and safe storage facility
The site features 12 loading and unloading docks and three separate storage compartments with a licensed total capacity of 3,705 tonnes of hazardous materials. All compartments are equipped with liquid-tight containment basins connected to an underground collection tank of 754 m³. For fire protection, the installation is fitted with a 756 m³ sprinkler tank, complemented by modern water and foam extinguishing systems and advanced gas detection technologies.
