On February the 1st Hamann International Logistics took over the rolling stock (9 truckers and 12 trailers) from the company Euregio in Borgloon. Euregio worked as a subcontractor for Hamann for 20 years and decided recently to stop its activities. Temporarily 4 drivers of Euregio joined our team; Hamann is looking for more extra drivers.

Hamann International Logistics reinforces its automotive department thanks to an extension of the contract for transport of parts from the Benelux to the Opel factories. Furthermore Hamann opens its own entity in the Czech Republic as of the 1^st of January 2012.

As of January 2012, Hamann International Logistics offers a better service for France. Your orders towards the region of Lyon will be delivered within 24h. This will stay the same for the region of Paris. The colleagues of our sales department will gladly answer all your questions.

16th December 2011
As of the 16th of January 2012 Hamann International Logistics offers a new service for Spain and Portugal with daily departures to the region of Irún and Porto (import and export) with a transit time of 48h. Our existing daily departures to Barcelona and Madrid will obviously be maintained. The colleagues of our sales department will gladly answer all your questions.

On Friday the 9th of December 2011, Hamann International Logistics launched its facebook page. Through this page, we want to spread our news and vacancies to more persons. This facebook page will be an important component in our growing communication mix. On Thursday the 8th of December 2011, Hamann International Logistics gave a hearty welcome to the memebers of OTM, Organization of Traffic Managers. The evening started with a guided tour in our buildings, followed by a presentation given by Wim Libaers. We closed this pleasant evening with a walking dinner.

Customs

Hamann International Logistics is a recognised customs agent: all import and export procedures are handled through PLDA, transit procedures through NCTS.
We also have a ‘simplified arrival and departure’ license so that goods can be released swiftly for import and export.

Hamann International Logistics has a ‘bonded warehouse owner type D’ license for all non-Community goods and is recognised as “tax warehouse for excisable goods’. Hamann International Logistics applies for the certificates of origin and takes care of the follow up.

Extra services:

- file management
- classification of goods
- analysis import/export for allocating the most adequate procedure
- simulation import/export by way of a test document
- processing of the copy for the sender/exporter and for the consignee
- internal courier service to the customs office in Gent.

Cargo insurance

The CMR-insurance covers the transported goods up to a maximum amount, depending on the daily rate of the SDR (special drawing rights) per kilogram. This amounted on 02/01/2009 to 8.33 SDR/KG, with 1 SDR equalling 1,1078 € or 9.23 €/kg.
For voluminous high-value goods it is recommended to extend the CMR-insurance with a cargo insurance.
Customers can turn to their insurance broker for this. Easier still is applying to Hamann International Logistics, which arranges this at cost and on behalf and on account of the customer.

Customer service

The personal service rendered by all employees focuses on proactive communication and a permanent follow-up of the transported goods. Our customer service department makes sure that all specific customer wishes are carried out, followed up and reported on and intervenes as soon as any problem arises.

Reporting

The Management Information System creates reports on delivery times, performance, etc. depending on the customer wishes.

C.O.D.

Hamann International Logistics is able – both on a national and international scale – to deliver goods against payment by the end customer.

Invoice proposals

To ensure a rapid and impeccable administration, Hamann International Logistics offers as extra service working with self billing proposals.

Reverse Logistics

Hamann International Logistics also buckles down to Reverse Logistics.
This tool ensures and arranges that finished goods, packing- and transportmaterial, et cetera, are gathered and returned to a central point.
Hamann International Logistics has been integrated for many years in the field of recyclable packing and logistics carriers and is therefor also very experienced in this section of the logistics chain.

Project Management

Hamann International Logistics invents, studies, designs and realizes assignments as required by its customers. The realization can take place at Hamann in Wetteren or at the clients’ premises. During those projects, Hamann International Logistics takes on the preliminary study, the actual study, the presentation, the start up, the implementation, the execution and the pursuit of the project.

Shunting

Hamann International Logistics puts a driver and truck at the disposal of its customers to shunt the trailers in and out, to open the canopy, to wait for the trailer to be loaded and/or to be unloaded, to close the canopy and to shunt the trailer from the factory. Thanks to this service, customers can save on stock and personnel costs.

Stand By

The customer also has the possibility to have the trailer dropped off at the unloading point, whilst the driver can execute a different assignment with the truck. By doing this, the waiting hours for loading and unloading are reduced and the client has a larger flexibility for loading and unloading it goods.
